ZDHC – ZERO DISCHARGE OF HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS

Working together for clean water and safe chemicals

The ZDHC is an association of representatives from the textile and leather industry along the entire textile value chain.

The organization includes manufacturers of chemical products and the finished textile product to well-known fashion brands. With its “Roadmap to Zero” program, ZDHC aims to eliminate harmful substances from the supply chain and in order to contribute to a clean and safe environment.

It is based on a list of banned substances that may not be used in the chemical industry for the production of textile auxiliaries and dyes.

The list is updated on a regular basis. As a ZDHC signatory, we are committed to minimize the environmental impact of chemicals in order to contribute to an ecologically clean textile industry.

Taking part in the expert committee of chemical formulators is one way we pursue this aim.
